26 February 2008 was sixteenth anniversary of the unlawful erasure from the register of permanent residents of the Republic of Slovenia. For this occasion a group of non-governmental organizations and activists organized several media, academic and cultural events within the traditional Erased Week.

At the press conference on 25 February the organizers* presented the program of the Erased Week and current situation regarding the erasure (Constitutional Act proposal, the case at the European Court of Human Rights and legal and other problems the erased are dealing with on a daily basis, many of them still not having any legal status).
