Workshop: At the crossroads of cultural politics: the Western Balkans successfully concluded
Peace Institute has successfully performed international workshop At the Crossroads of Cultural Politics: The Western Balkans, which has taken place on May 12, 2008, from 15.30 till 18.30 in Science and Research Centre of the Slovene Academy of Science and Arts in Ljubljana. Participants of the workshop: Suzana Milevska (Visual and culture centre, Eurobalkan Institute, Skopje), Emina Višnić (Clubture network & Multimedia centre Mama, Zagreb), Svetlana Racanović (Nansen Dialogue Centre, Podgorica), Miško Šuvaković (University of Arts, Beograd) and Aldo Milohnić (Peace institute, Ljubljana), which has presented the paper of absent Aida Kalender (Action Sarajevo, Sarajevo) as well, were discussed the lessons learned so far with regard to instruments used for supporting contemporary art producers and cultural operators in the Western Balkan countries. Moderator of the workshop was the Peace institute director, Lev Kreft. Conclusions of the workshop were presented at the conference New Paradigms, New Models: Culture in the EU External Relations, organized by the Slovenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on May 13–14 in Ljubljana.
