The conference on hate speech

Veronika Bajt presented a paper entitled “The Sociological Definition of Hate Speech: Uncoupling Intersectional Exclusions” at a conference on hate speech, held in Pamplona on 6-7 June 2023. The International Symposium “Hate Speech at the Crossroads of Aggression, Anxiety, and Resonance: From Linguistics to Politics and Beyond” took place at the Instituto cultura y sociedad of the University of Navarra, Spain, and provided an opportunity to engage with experts who address hate speech from different perspectives and disciplines; in addition to sociology, in particular international relations, linguistics, and psychology. The paper was prepared in the framework of the project “Hate Speech in Contemporary Conceptualisations of Nationalism, Racism, Gender and Migration”.
