Inside Police Custody: Application of EU Procedural Rights

The project will contribute to the successful implementation of EU legislation on the procedural rights of suspects in criminal matters. The core of the project is undertaking observational research with police and lawyers on the practical application of the procedural rights of suspects during police detention, with an aim to develop recommendations for legislative and policy changes to ensure better enforcement of the EU procedural rights’ Directives.
