Gender, Identity and Conflict in the Post-War Societies of the Former Yugoslavia

This international seminar is an opportunity to establish a joint context of theory and practice in the area of conflict and identity processes in post-war construction with a special emphasis on gender perspective.
The main goals are the following:
1. to contribute to the sociological analysis of armed conflicts;
2. to highlight the gender dimensions of violent conflicts;
3. to establish networks and to promote communication between researchers from the former Yugoslavia, Germany, Austria and all those who work in the aforementioned fields;
4. regarding peace and gender studies, to translate the theoretical knowledge of social scientists into practical recommendations for practitioners working in the areas of peace and conflict.
