Justice for All National Consultation
27. 5. 2022 | Human Rights and Minorities
In the framework of the ‘JUSTICE FOR ALL’ project, we organised a national consultation on the challenges faced by defendants, detainees and prisoners with intellectual and/or psychosocial disabilities in cross-border cases: European Arrest Warrant procedures, transfers of convicted persons between EU countries, procedures with supervision measures and the enforcement of probation and alternative sanctions. We have also looked at domestic systemic issues that may affect cross-border cooperation in practice.
The consultation aims to stimulate discussion between national experts and practitioners with different professional backgrounds, such as: judges, prosecutors, lawyers, doctors, representatives of supervisory mechanisms, representatives of correctional and probation administrations, academics, researchers, decision-makers and end-users’ representatives. At the same time, the results of the discussions will inform the project research.
