Free media and security in Europe
6. 11. 2017 | Media
Sometimes, it seems to me when observing this growing trend of media control and daily reports about violence against journalists across the OSCE region that we are in the middle of the war against free journalism, where we can sometimes highly see difference between criminals and politicians in how they perceive, treat and target journalists.
Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) organised in Vienna, on 2 and 3 November 2017, a meeting on the role of free media for comprehensive approach to security in Europe. In the opening session of the conference, Brankica Petković of the Peace Institute addressed the diplomats of the 57 OSCE Participating States and other participants.
