Conference13 November 2014 – 14 November 2014 | Congress Centre Brdo, Ljubljana
The idea of the conference is to open a broad public debate on what has been done and achieved in the field of gender equality, to make a comparison of the status of women in 1995 till nowadays in some crucial points of concern in the Beijing Plan of Action. Its momentous events, policies, as well as legal changes made an impact on the status of women in Slovenia as well. The conference will address the issue of fields in which the progress was most notable as well as fields with no progress or even a backlash in the last 20 years. The most prominent experts will be invited to critically analyse and evaluate the situation and status of women in Slovenia and more broadly, in European context. According to the findings the roadmap for the future will be prepared with the list of concrete requests and aims.
