On Monday, January 20, as part of the Peace Institute’s research program group, we organized an academic writing workshop led by Dr. Petra Ahrens from Tampere University in Finland. We discussed what academic writing is, how to understand it, how we write, for whom, and how the writing process works in practice. We addressed the opportunities within the creative process, discussed the obstacles in writing, and how to overcome them. We explored various writing strategies, along with practical tips and exercises. The workshop provided valuable insights into the meanings and strategies of academic writing and encouraged us to further explore and develop our writing skills.
