Gender, Democracy and Anti-gender Movement
16. 1. 2025 | Gender

Within the research project “Gender, Democracy, and the Neoconservative Anti-Gender Movement”, led by the Faculty of Arts (project leader Roman Kuhar) in collaboration with the Peace Institute and the Faculty of Social Sciences, we discussed the research plan for 2025 during a meeting held on January 14. The research focuses on analyzing the discourses and strategies of anti-gender movements based on an examination of public documents and social media posts. A legal analysis is also underway, examining the impact of these strategies on legislative changes and legal practices at the European level. The central research task for this year will be the design and implementation of a public opinion survey, which will provide insights into people’s attitudes and identify the influence of anti-gender mobilizations on issues related to equality.
