Populism and TV production
Populist politicians tend to avoid rational argumentation and use affective sensationalist speech to promote party interests on a chosen topic. At the meeting of the research project “Political and Media Populism: ‘Refugee Crisis’ in Slovenia and Austria”, we tested the methodology used to study party and media populism in the case of reporting on migration on television. We met in June 8 and 9 in Ljubljana and Vienna.
